Almost time

Well, it is almost time for my new job to start. I have today off, which is either a good thing or a bad. Tomorrow I walk into a new life, a new career, a new adventure.

I have had my injections, 6 of them, and I need to give myself another one tomorrow. The next lot will be on 23 August. I am taking Malaria tablets, I am looking at the suitcase that I need to pack.

I was suppose to fly out on 1 August but then the date changed to 2 August but now it is only this weekend. This makes me feel more at ease because then I can get to my new offices and start getting my feet wet.

This blog is a little strange as there is so much running through my head, so many things to think about. What does the future hold? Will I make a success of this? Will I rush around in a few months time looking for another job?

My brain is going into overload ...

The Adventure will soon begin

I have been contemplating starting a blog post, the main reason for doing this is that I am about to embark on a new adventure.

I have been with my current company for 8 years ... they say in the recruitment industry, that if someone has been working for a company for more than 5 years, the chances of them leaving is very slim. Well 8 years later and I am about to make the move.

I am excited about this move, but then I am nervous at the same time. I am finally going to be focusing on what I have a passion for. My new job title: Siebel Application Administrator!! SAA for short :)

I start on this new "quest" on 1 August 2006 and at first I think it will be very slow as I have to get familiar with the new company but within this month my first project is sending me to Cameroon. It is a 3rd World country and looking on the website doesn't look like much but I also have a passion for travel and what better way to travel than getting to see AFRICA!!

So for now ... this is the beginning, the start of my blog so that I can jot down my thoughts and fears and maybe share the experience with anyone that might be interested. Another way for the family to keep up to date on what is going on with me.

Till next I blog ... adious
