December December

My goodness!! I have been pretty bad with my blog of late. I just have not been doing the regular updates that I keep promising to do.

Well this is another blog with no pics, I have pics to put up just never get round to doing it, I will eventually get my blog updated with new pics. I have to put a new pic of me on the web page .. I have hair now so the pic that is there is a little outdated.

I am currently sitting in Kenya, there is a 5 hour delay before my next flight heads on out to Cameroon. I am getting use to these delays and hanging around. My last trip was all about lay overs.

Here in point form was my last trip back home to Cape Town ...

1) Was told I could leave a day earlier
2) left Cameroon on Tuesday instead of Wednesday
3) had to hang around Kenya for 13 hours for my next available flight. Was going to go for a walk about in Kenya City but it rained cats and dogs so stayed in the airport again (mental note to plan a trip into Kenya City next year)
4)Arrive in Johannesburg at midnight - no flights to Cape Town that late ... this meant another 13 hour sitting at the airport
5) JHB ... oops ... OR Thambo airport is pretty deserted after midnight
6) Was going to sleep on the benches but called the guys about the guest room 5 minutes from the airport
7) Guest room very dodgy ... shower and go back to airport
8) manage to get a 07:25 flight out of Johannesburg instead of 13:00
9) finally after leaving Cameroon on Tuesday ... I get to Cape Town on Thursday

So here I am again ... on my way back to Cameroon and now I am sitting again in Kenya .... waiting ....

The good thing is I found out that the first class lounge (Simba lounge) in Cameroon and Kenya has free wireless for the business class travellers (No I am not one of the fortunate to travel business class) but it is wireless so I am now sitting a few meters away from the door to this prestigious lounge using their internet ... all is fair in economy and telecommunications ...

Also just a few feet away is the doors to freedom if I wanted, if I didn't want to be hauled up in the airport ... SA passport holders don't need a visa and I could just walk out through passport control and go explore ... but when I have more time ... 5 hours is a bit risky ... when you have no idea what is on the other side ...

Anyway ... I need breakfast now ....

Bye bye
